Day 01

Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by our English speaking representative and transferred to a Hotel in Negombo. You will visit the City of Negombo and explore some of the tourist attractions.

Negombo,the fourth largest city in Sri Lanka, on the west coast of the island and at the mouth of the Negombo Lagoon. Being the second largest city in the Western Province Negombo is a major and a famous tourist destination in Sri Lanka and offers one of the best sandy beaches on the west coast of Sri Lanka. This city is an ideal and liberal place with luxury, tropical lifestyle, for those who want quick access to and from the country’s main international airport and also to Colombo city. The 100 km canal network running through the city is still used. Outrigger canoes and modern watercraft ply this route daily, for trade and tourism. Negombo is home to the country’s second largest fish market and popular for water sports among visitors.

Day 02

After breakfast leave for Anuradhapura, en-route visiting the Pinnawalla Elephant Orphanage.

Anuradhapura is a major city in Sri Lanka. It is the capital city of North Central Province of Sri Lanka and the capital of Anuradhapura District. Anuradhapura is one of the ancient capitals of Sri Lanka, famous for its well-preserved ruins of ancient Sri Lankan civilization. It was the third capital of the Kingdom of Rajarata.

Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage is not only an orphanage but a nursery and a captive breeding ground for wild Asian elephants, located at Pinnawala village, 13 km (8.1 mi) northeast of Kegalle town in Sabaragamuwa Province of Sri Lanka.
In 2011 Pinnawala was noted for having the largest herd of captive elephants in the world. There were 88 elephants, including 37 males and 51 females from 3 generations living in Pinnawala. The orphanage was originally founded in order to provide care and protection, for many of the orphaned, un-weaned, and wounded wild elephants found wandering in and near the forests of Sri Lanka. It was established in 1975 by the Sri Lanka Department of Wildlife.

Day 03

After breakfast – visit Anuradhapura and Polonnaruwa Cultural sites and proceed to Sigiriya.

Anuradhapura is a major city in Sri Lanka. It is the capital city of North Central Province of Sri Lanka and the capital of Anuradhapura District. Anuradhapura is one of the ancient capitals of Sri Lanka, famous for its well-preserved ruins of ancient Sri Lankan civilization. It was the third capital of the Kingdom of Rajarata.

Polonnaruwa

Poḷonnaruwa is the main town of Polonnaruwa District in North Central Province, Sri Lanka and it remains as the royal ancient city of the Kingdom of Polonnaruwa.
The second most ancient of Sri Lanka’s kingdoms, Polonnaruwa was first declared the capital city by King Vijayabahu 1, who defeated Chola invaders in 1070 to reunite the country once more under a local leader. Today the ancient city of Polonnaruwa remains one of the best planned archaeological relic sites in the country, standing testimony to the discipline and greatness of the Kingdom’s first rulers. The ancient city of Polonnaruwa has been declared a World Heritage site by UNESCO.

Day 04

After Breakfast leave for climbing Sigiriya rock fortress.

Sigiriya (Lion Rock ) is an ancient palace located in the central Matale District near the town of Dambulla in the Central Province, Sri Lanka.
The name refers to a site of historical and archaeological significance that is dominated by a massive column of rock nearly 200 metres (660 ft) high. According to the ancient Sri Lankan chronicle the Culavamsa, this site was selected by King Kasyapa (477 – 495 CE) for his new capital. He built his palace on the top of this rock and decorated its sides with colourful frescoes. Sigiriya is a UNESCO listed World Heritage Site.
In the Evening, you will be able to enjoy an elephant back safari.

Day 05

After breakfast leave for Kandy. En-route visit Dambulla Cave Temple.

Dambulla Cave Temple also known as the Golden Temple of Dambulla is a World Heritage Site (1991) in Sri Lanka, situated in the central part of the country.
This site is situated 148 kilometers (92 mi) east of Colombo and 72 kilometers (45 mi) north of Kandy. It is the largest and best-preserved cave temple complex in Sri Lanka. The rock towers 160 m over the surrounding plains. There are more than 80 documented caves in the surrounding area. Major attractions are spread over five caves, which contain statues and paintings. These paintings and statues are related to Gautama Buddha and his life. There is a total of 153 Buddha statues, three statues of Sri Lankan kings and four statues of gods and goddesses.

Travel to Kandy. En-route visit a spice garden in Matale. In Kandy, visit the Temple of the Tooth, and a cultural dance event in the evening.

Kandy is the second largest city in the country after Colombo, located in the Central Province of Sri Lanka. It was the last capital of the ancient kings’ era of Sri Lanka and was declared a world heritage site. Kandy is the home of the Temple of the Tooth Relic of Buddha. The city lies in the midst of hills in the Kandy plateau, which crosses an area of tropical plantations, mainly tea.
Sri Dalada Maligawa or the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic is a Buddhist temple in the city of Kandy, Sri Lanka. It is located in the royal palace complex of the former Kingdom of Kandy, which houses the relic of the tooth of the Buddha. Since ancient times, the relic has played an important role in local politics because it is believed that whoever holds the relic holds the governance of the country. It was declared a world heritage site by UNESCO in 1988

Day 06

Kandy city

Botanical Garden – City Tour – Kandy Dance

After the Breakfast, you will visit the Peradeniya Botanical Garden.

Peradeniya Royal Botanical Gardens. It is renowned for its collection of orchids. The total area of the botanical garden is 147 acres and the garden includes more than 4000 species of plants, including orchids, spices, medicinal plants and palm trees. Attached to it is the National Herbarium of Sri Lanka. Towards the evening stroll around the beautiful Kandy Lake and visit the Temple of the Tooth, In the evening, you can enjoy the cultural dancing show, a world famous dancing event which encompasses various dance forms native to Kandy.

Ramboda falls

Day 07

Nuwaraeliya – Ramboda Waterfall city tour
After breakfast leave for Nuwara Eliya. En-route visits the Ramboda waterfall.

Nuwara Eliya, which is also known as little England, a city with a picturesque landscape and well known for its temperate, coolest climate. It is at an altitude of 1,868 m (6,128 feet) and is considered to be the most important location for tea production in Sri Lanka. The city is overlooked by Pidurutalagala, the tallest mountain in Sri Lanka.

Horton Plains 

In the morning you will be visiting Horton Plains National Park in Ohiya’ which is a protected area in the central highlands of Sri Lanka and one of the many popular tourists destinations, is covered by montane grassland and cloud forest.The sheer precipice of World’s End and Baker’s Falls are among the tourist attractions of the park.
The Horton Plains are the headwaters of three major Sri Lankan rivers, the Mahaweli, Kelani, and Walawe.

Yala Safari

Early morning you will go for Full day Safari at Yala National Park. .Yala National Park is the most visited and second largest national park in Sri Lanka. The park consists of five blocks, two of which are now open to the public, and also adjoining parks. The blocks have individual names such as Ruhuna National Park(block 1) and Kumana National Park. The park is best known for its variety of wild animals. It is important for the conservation of Sri Lankan elephants, Sri Lankan leopards, and aquatic birds.

Day 11

Galle 
After breakfast leave for Bentota en-route visit Galle fort and a turtle hatchery.

Bentota is a world famous tourist attraction, with a beautiful beachfront, a local airport (Bentota River Airport) and a handful of world-class hotels. It is also a destination for water sports and helicopter joy rides. Bentota delivers an ancient art of healing called Ayurveda. It is also famous for toddy production, an alcoholic beverage made out of coconut nectar. When in Bentota you can visit the turtle hatchery, a community-based turtle hatchery and turtle watching project set up by the Turtle Conservation Project in association with the Wildlife Department of Sri Lanka. Brief Garden, the house, and garden of renowned Sri Lankan landscaped architect Bevis Bawa is one of the main highlights of Bentota, for its unique anticultural designs and landscape.

Galle fort

Galle is the fifth largest city in Sri Lanka and Galle fort is a world heritage site and is the largest remaining fortress in Asia built by European occupiers.
