Day 01

On arrival, you will be received by our English speaking representative and transferred to a hotel in Negombo

Negombo The fourth largest city in Sri Lanka, on the west coast of the island and at the mouth of the Negombo Lagoon. Being the second largest city in the Western Province Negombo is a major and a famous tourist destination in Sri Lanka and offers one of the best sandy beaches on the west coast of Sri Lanka. This city is an ideal and liberal place with luxury, tropical lifestyle, for those who want quick access to and from the country’s main international airport and also to Colombo city. The 100 km canal network running through the city is still used. Outrigger canoes and modern watercraft ply this route daily, for trade and tourism. Negombo is home to the country’s second largest fish market and popular for water sports among visitors.

Day 02

After breakfast proceed to Kandy en route visiting the Elephant orphanage Pinnawala.

Pinnawala is an orphanage, nursery and captive breeding ground for wild Asian elephants located at Pinnawala and is also notable for having the largest herd of captive elephants in the world.

Day 03

After breakfast visits the town of Kandy

Kandy is the second largest city in the country after Colombo, located in the Central Province of Sri Lanka. It was the last capital of the ancient kings’ era of Sri Lanka and was declared a world heritage site. Kandy is the home of the Temple of the Tooth Relic of Buddha. It is the Royal Palace complex of the former kingdom of Kandy which houses the relic of the tooth. The Kandy city lies in the midst of hills in the Kandy plateau, which crosses an area of tropical plantations, mainly tea.

You can shop to your hearts content and maybe purchase dazzling gemstones and jewelry unique to Sri Lanka to make your honeymoon visit a memorable one. You can also visit Peradeniya Royal Botanical Gardens. It is renowned for its collection of orchids. The total area of the botanical garden is 147 acres and the garden includes more than 4000 species of plants, including orchids, spices, medicinal plants and palm trees. Attached to it is the National Herbarium of Sri Lanka. Towards the evening stroll around the beautiful Kandy Lake and visit the Temple of the Tooth, In the evening, you can enjoy the cultural dancing show, a world famous dancing event which encompasses various dance forms native to Kandy.

Day 04

NuwaraEliya

After breakfast proceeds to Nuwara Eliya, It’s a romantic drive through the scenic country side. In the afternoon take a city tour of Nuwara Eliya, which is also known as little England, a city with a picturesque landscape and well known for its temperate, coolest climate. It is at an altitude of 1,868 m (6,128 feet) and is considered to be the most important location for tea production in Sri Lanka. The city is overlooked by Pidurutalagala, the tallest mountain in Sri Lanka.

Day 05

Horton Plains

Early morning excursion to Horton Plains with a packed breakfast where you can take a short trek to the beautiful Bakers Falls and the magnificent World’s End. The Horton Plains are the headwaters of three major Sri Lankan rivers, the Mahaweli, Kelani, and Walawe. In Sinhala, the plains are known as Maha Eliya Plains. Stone tools dating back to Balangoda culture have been found here. The plains’ vegetation is grasslands interspersed with montane forest and includes many endemic woody plants. Large herds of Sri Lankan sambar deer feature as typical mammals and the park is also an Important Bird Area with many species not only endemic to Sri Lanka but restricted to the Horton Plains.

Day 06

A day of leisure at Bentota

Bentota is a world famous tourist attraction, with a beautiful beachfront, a local airport (Bentota River Airport) and a handful of world-class hotels. It is also a destination for water sports and helicopter joy rides. Bentota delivers an ancient art of healing called Ayurveda. It is also famous for toddy production, an alcoholic beverage made out of coconut nectar. When in Bentota you can visit the turtle hatchery, a community-based turtle hatchery and turtle watching project set up by the Turtle Conservation Project in association with the Wildlife Department of Sri Lanka. Brief Garden, the house, and garden of renowned Sri Lankan landscaped architect Bevis Bawa is one of the main highlights of Bentota, for its unique anticultural designs and landscape.
